Cerebral Palsy is considered a neurological disorder caused by a non-progressive brain injury or malformation that occurs while the child’s brain is under development. Symptoms include movement and coordination problems, intellectual disabilities, seizures, problems with vision and speaking.

Sonya’s parents were looking forward to her birth und were really over the moon when the girl with deep green eyes was finally born.

On the second day of her life Sonya was vaccinated against hepatitis. That’s how the story of her illness began.

This five-year-old girl has infantile cerebral palsy, she cannot move her arm, her leg is shorter than the other one. But against all odds the girl can speak and walk, of course only with the help of special orthoses, that must be changed every year. Their price is 1 200 USD.

Parents make every effort to help Sonya: they have managed to cover all the costs for treatment in the center of intensive care “Olinek” in Warsaw and to find money for orthoses. But now all the financial reserves of the small family are depleted.

We can change Sonya’s destiny! And, perhaps, the girl’s medical history will remain only on paper.
